In-Store Repair and Maintenance
You should frequently have your gold jewelry inspected for damage or weakness. At Carl Reck, we pay special attention to:
- Clasps - ensure that they catch easily and stay secure
- Prongs - ensure there is no cracking or wear that could cause the stone to loosen and fall out
- Bracelet and neck chain links - ensure there is no kinking or bending
We also inspect wedding bands, charms and pendants. It is important to be aware of any dangling pieces or items that are worn daily for entended periods of time. These items are subject to wear. Over time, they can wear thin and eventually break.
Carl Reck Jewelers is proud to offer clock and watch repair services. We also provides custom jewelry design. And, because our goldsmith is on site, most repairs are done in-house and in a very timely fashion.
Diamond Appraisal
Diamond appraisals are performed so that a dollar value can be assigned to the diamond being appraised, often for purposes of insurance. Or it may be that you want to verify the true market value before committing to a purchase.
Because market values change, it is generally recommended that your diamonds are appraised every two years. You may want to ask your insurance agent for his recommendation.
